Included in the course students will also participate in our Beauty salon*. Giving newly qualified therapists the chance to work on paying clients in a commercial setting, this helps to boost the students confidence and competence in a real-life salon environment.

*Although the ‘normal’ study hours are 10am–5pm, you will also be required to practice your treatments in our student salon at the end of your class time, the salon is Monday to Fridays 10:00am-6pm.

Students will also receive an BLS Post Graduate Salon certificate, which is ideal for newly qualified therapists, giving them the edge when applying for jobs.

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a beauty therapist and salon managements . You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a beauty therapist. Career opportunities as a beauty therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:

Laser hair removal is fast becoming the most desired way of removing unwanted body hair by clients who frequent beauty salons. Most salons now offer laser hair removal amongst their list of treatments; however, finding the trained staff is becoming more difficult as this treatment grows in popularity, therefore, there has never been a better time to get yourself trained in this exciting new hair removal method and be ahead of the game. Once qualified there is guaranteed work in this field either in salons, hair removal clinics or even working for your self. Completion

In the Microblading unit, our training will cover skills to analyse the skin, identify treatment contradictions, risks and formulate a specific treatment plan to suit client individual client needs. This will include consultation, the shaping of the eyebrows with pre-drawing techniques and knowledge of the pigments. Students will be asked to work on fake skin to achieve the best techniques before treating clients.

On the successful completion of the Level 4 Certificate in Enhancing Eyebrows with Microblading/Nanoblading Techniques, you will reach a very high level of competence at performing Microblading treatments.

Overview The VTCT Level 2, 3 Diploma in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a nail technician. This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a nail technician, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including, mandatory units covering the following: providing manicures and pedicures, applying and maintaining nail enhancements, maintaining personal health and well-being, health and safety and client care.

You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: designing and applying nail art, air brush designs, enhancing nails with electric files, promoting products and displaying stock to promote sales. The structure of this qualification provides you with the flexibility to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills required to become a nail technician.

This is one of two VTCT qualifications in nail services at Level 3. Whilst both qualifications qualify you to become a nail technician, this

qualification allows you to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment without the need for fee paying clients.

In contrast, the VTCT Level 2, 3 Diploma in Nail Services has a purpose of confirming competence in a specific job role, rather than preparing you to enter the sector. The VTCT Level 2, 3 Diploma in Nail Services also requires you to work in a commercial salon whereby assessments must be carried out on real paying clients in line with commercial service times.

Qualification Requirements As on a fast track training programme student is required to complete home study assignments and it is essential to work on clients in a realistic salon environment.
